Describe how informed consent to participate was obtained, or provide a documented waiver from the competent body. Explain safeguards for participants unable to provide consent themselves.
Identifiable information
Obtain explicit consent for publication of identifiable images, case details, or personal information. A treatment consent form does not establish consent for publication. Cropping or covering eyes alone may not provide anonymity. Authors must retain consent records securely and confirm their availability to editors; do not upload identifiable consent forms unless specifically requested through a secure process.
