About the Press

A dedicated programme for books

AMA Press is extending its publishing programme to scholarly monographs and edited volumes. The programme connects aesthetic medicine with philosophy, ethics, patient safety and institutional responsibility.

Editorial assessment and review

Each accepted project is assigned an editor and an appropriate review process. Conflicts of interest are disclosed; editors do not make acceptance decisions about their own contributions. The published book records the review process actually completed.

Open access and rights

The programme is intended for freely accessible digital editions. The licence and rights to text, illustrations and other materials are agreed for each book and displayed on its book page. Costs and services are agreed before binding acceptance.

One work, multiple editions

Every published book receives a permanent catalogue page with bibliographic information, a table of contents and available editions. Separately published product forms and language editions receive separate ISBNs. Continuing book series may also receive ISSNs. Identifiers are displayed only after they have actually been assigned.

Discovery and libraries

Published books receive structured metadata, citation information and bibliographic exports. Delivery to Google Books and libraries follows checks of the files and publication rights. Inclusion in an external service is reported only after confirmation.

Corrections and preservation

Changes to published work are documented. New editions and substantially revised versions remain distinguishable from corrections. Complete publication files are backed up with their metadata, and required legal deposit is tracked separately.
