How to appeal
Submit a written appeal that identifies the decision, explains the alleged factual or procedural error, and supplies relevant evidence. Disagreement alone does not establish an error. Do not submit the same manuscript elsewhere while an agreed appeal remains active.
Independent consideration
An editor who was not responsible for the disputed decision reviews the appeal. They may obtain further advice or review. The outcome and reasons are recorded and communicated to the author. The journal does not guarantee that an appeal will result in review or acceptance.
