Aesthetic Medicine Academic Press (AMA Press) publishes books and scholarly journals. Our programme connects philosophical inquiry, aesthetic medicine, public responsibility and independent governance.
Books and illustrated essays
Our book programme gives sustained arguments room to develop. The illustrated essay series Philosophy of the Privileged explores credibility, education, truth and the freedom to form a judgement of one's own. The published digital editions are available in English and German.
Two distinct journals
The Journal of Philosophy in Aesthetic Medicine and the Journal of Independent Aesthetic Governance each have their own scope, editorial responsibility and bibliographic identity. Their author guidance and editorial policies describe the requirements for journal contributions.
Editorial judgement
Society activity and commercial relationships must remain separate from decisions on manuscripts. Editors assess scholarly contribution, quality of reasoning and evidence, ethical conduct, and relevance to the publication.
