1. Prepare the manuscript

Choose the journal and article type. Provide a research question, methods or analytical approach, an accurate abstract, sources and limitations. List all authors, affiliations and contributions, funding and conflicts of interest. Disclose preprints, translations and prior dissemination. Include ethics, consent, registration and data statements where applicable.

2. Editorial assessment

An editor checks fit, completeness and ethical issues. Work from a society officer, editor or affiliated organization is assigned to an editor without a relevant conflict. Society membership and publisher involvement do not determine acceptance.

3. External review and revision

Research articles follow the journal’s double-anonymized review policy with at least two independent reviewers. Editors document reviewer expertise, conflicts, reports, author responses and any further review in the restricted OJS workspace. Editorials and commentaries receive the assessment specified for their article type.

4. Decision and production

The responsible editor records the decision and its reasons. Accepted articles move through copyediting, accessible HTML/PDF production, metadata checks and author proof approval. Source checking, language editing and software checks alone do not establish peer review.

5. The published record

The article page states the article type and actual review process. Its history records received, revised, accepted and published dates where applicable. The final version includes disclosures, license, references and citation exports. Corrections, versions and retraction notices remain linked to the article.

IAGS and JIAG

The Independent Aesthetic Governance Society develops topics and supports scholarly exchange. The Journal of Independent Aesthetic Governance at AMA Press provides the journal publication route. Its editors independently assess submissions and decide acceptance. Society contributions are not automatically journal articles or peer-reviewed work.

Editorial coordination

Sylvia Kaduk is responsible for editorial administration; Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ali Altintas is the scientific editor. The JIAG reviewer pool is named. The editorial office coordinates handling assignments and the manuscript workflow. Each review requires its own record of the reviewed version, date, report, conflicts of interest and editorial decision.
